Use this page to view system information for the server.
- Times
- Displays the date and time at which the current server was started, and the number of days, hours, minutes and seconds that
have passed since the server was started.
- Counts
- Displays the following information:
- Transactions
- The number of transactions that have occurred since the server was started.
- Dumps
- The number of dumps generated since the server was started.
- Per hour
- The number of transactions per hour, based on the number of transactions shown in Transactions.
- Trace Blocks
- The number of trace blocks generated since the server was started.
- Pending Requests
- The number of all requests that have been queued.
- Clients
- The number of clients that have been active since the server was started.
- Limit
- The number of concurrent client licenses allowed.
- Sizes
- Displays the following information:
- Max Tasks
- The maximum number of tasks that can run concurrently on this server. A task handles a process such as a CICS transaction,
a SOAP service, and so on.
- Diagnostics Size
- The maximum size of a diagnostic data set. When this size is exceeded, the alternate (A or B) data set is used (and any data
in that data set is overwritten). A value of 0 (zero) means that there is no maximum size.
- HTTP Out
- The size of the data blocks passed across shared memory for HTTP output.
- ID Timeout
- The global user ID timeout specified. If no ID timeout has been defined, this field is blank.
- Shared Memory
- The number of shared pages in memory reserved for all the processes that run in the enterprise server. Each page is 4 KB in
size.
- SM Total
- The amount of shared memory available to this server, shown in KB.
- SM Cushion
- The number of kilobytes reserved from the shared memory pages to enable the server to continue processing when the shared
memory allocation is too small for the operational requirements of the server.
- SM Free
- The amount of shared memory currently free, shown in kilobytes.
- States
- Displays the following information:
- Working Mode
- The current working bit mode of the server.
- Perf Enabled
- Enables reporting of performance data that can be viewed in Perfmon and Operations Manager.
- Force Phase In
- The current state of Force Phase In. If Force Phase In is set, MSS reloads programs each time they are invoked. This applies
only to programs that are not marked resident and have not been loaded with the hold attribute. If Yes, Force Phase In is
set; if No, it is not. You can set the state of Force Phase In on the Control page, which can be displayed by clicking
Control.
- HSF
- Displays the state of the Historical Statistics Facility (HSF).
- Dump
- Displays which data set is currently set to receive dump information, which can be A or B.
You can set the data set to be used for dump information on the Control page, which can be displayed by clicking
Control.
- Dump On ABEND
- The dump state. The dump state can be:
- Sys: No Tran: No
- Sys: Yes Tran: No
- Sys: No Tran: Yes
- Sys: Yes Tran: Yes
Where Sys indicates a system dump, and Tran indicates a transaction dump.
You can set the dump state on the Control page, which can be displayed by clicking
Control.
- Trace
- Displays which data set is currently set to receive trace information, which can be A or B.
You can set the data set to be used for trace information on the Control page, which can be displayed by clicking
Control.
- Active trace
- Indicates whether the in-memory trace is currently being recorded to the active auxiliary diagnostic data set.
You can switch the active trace on and off on the Control page, which can be displayed by clicking
Control.
- Startup
-
This group is displayed only if you have enabled MSS. It contains the following information:
- Fileshare user
- The user ID used by the region to log on to all Fileshare servers that MSS is configured to use.
- Security
- Indicates whether or not the server has security enabled.
- SIT
- The name of the SIT currently used by this server.
- SYSID
- The system ID of the SIT.
- PLT-PI
- The program list table (PLT) that specifies the initialization programs to be run when the region is started. If this is blank,
no special processing is done when the region is started.
- PLT-SD
- The program list table (PLT) that specifies the shutdown programs to be run when the region is stopped. If this is blank,
no special processing is done when the region is stopped.
- Local CCSID
- The number of the CCSID to use for CICS Web services. The value must correspond to an EBCDIC CCSID. See CCSID Conversion Tables
for further details.
- ASCII CCSID
- Identifies the ASCII CCSID that corresponds to the EBCDIC local CCSID specified in the SIT
- Activity
- Contains the following information:
The time at which sampling of activity was started. The time is shown in 24-hour format. The duration of sampling is 15 minutes.
To see the latest activity statistics for this 15-minute period, click the refresh icon.
- Average latency (100/sec)
- The average latency for transactions on this server. This is shown in hundredths of a second, and as a graphical representation
in yellow.
- Average tasks (100/sec)
- The average time taken to complete a task on this server. This is shown in hundredths of a second, and as a graphical representation
in blue.
