Adding a Non-standard Character Set

Occasionally, the data stored in a file does not match any of the supported character sets. In such cases, a nonstandard character set must be defined and imported into the Relativity data source before it can be used. To define a nonstandard character set, see Define Nonstandard Character Sets.

1. From the Tools menu, click Character Sets.

   The Character Sets tab opens, displaying a list of character sets already in the catalog.

2. Click Add a character set.

   The Add a Character Set to Catalog section is displayed.

3. Click to the right of From CS File, then use the Open dialog box to select a .cs file that contains the nonstandard character set.
4. Click Add.

   The new character set is added to the list of character sets already in the catalog.

5. Click Save.

   The changes are saved.

6. Close the Character Sets tab.
