If a program is displayed in the Structure view of the Workspace window (meaning that it has a program structure file) and you are using workbench tools or options that directly or indirectly specify code (such as the Screen Designer or options in the Program Properties dialog box), you need to generate code for the program before you compile the program. To generate code for a program, right-click the program in the Structure view of the Workspace window and select Generate Source from the pop-up menu. Status and error messages are displayed in the Output window.
