This variable lets you specify a particular ODBC SQL Server driver name for the SQL Server interface. The value is empty by default, and if not explicitly set, the latest ODBC driver installed on the local machine is used, up to the ODBC Driver 18 for SQL Server. If you intend to use a different driver, set the value to the name of the intended driver, as shown in the ODBC Data Source dialog box (Windows) or odbcinst.ini (UNIX/Linux). Results are undefined if changed to a value which is not a valid supported SQL Server ODBC driver on your system.
This release supports all currently available versions of the MIcrosoft SQL Server ODBC Driver, and has been tested through version 18.
