This function sets the CURLOPT_TIMEOUT option value to the number of seconds specified. This value is the maximum amount of time in seconds that is allowed for the request to complete. The CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT value is a portion of the time specified by CURLOPT_TIMEOUT, so this value should be set greater than the value of CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT.
