Many aspects of the run-time system can be controlled through configuration variables. Configuration variables can be modified by each runcbl site as well as directly by an ACUCOBOL-GT program. This allows a great deal of flexibility in adapting runcbl to a particular system.
Configuration variables are maintained in a configuration file. This is a standard text file that can be modified by the host system's text editor. See Configuration Variables for details on variable syntax and usage.
Topics in this section describe some of the most frequently used configuration variables.
