Acushare License File Management for UNIX and Linux

License file management in UNIX and Linux environments is handled by the acushare utility program. Acushare provides three key services to extend products:

AcuServer license management
ACUCOBOL-GT runtime license management
ACUCOBOL-GT runtime shared memory management

The acushare utility program is described in detail in ACUCOBOL-GT User's Guide > Compiler and Runtime > acushare Utility Program. This section describes Acushare's role in extend license management and includes basic instructions for starting and stopping acushare.

Note: Multiple versions of acushare can run concurrently on the same system, but you must use matching acushare and product versions. For example you cannot use a version 9 acushare with a version 8 runtime.
