The following restrictions and limitations exist when using the
mfsecretshashicorp vault provider:
- The vault must be TLS enabled. However, client certificates are optional.
- The kv2 secrets engine must not be used as a file storage system on Windows when the vault is being used for
ESCWA or MFDS. The kv2 secrets engine will encrypt the path of the secret, increasing its length. The increased length of the secrets
path will result in Windows maximum path length being exceeded.
Micro Focus recommends that you use an alternative file storage system on your HashiCorp server, or use the kv1 secrets engine which
does not encrypt paths.
