- If you don't already have one, generate a COBOL archive (.car) file by either deploying a service interface from an
Enterprise Developer project or using the
imtkmake command.
- Copy the
.mfdeploy file, located by default in
$COBDIR/deploy, to the parent directory of the
.car file that you want to deploy. For example, if the
.car file is in
$COBDIR/deploy/test
, the
.mfdeploy file must be copied to
$COBDIR/deploy.
- Open the
.mfdeploy file in a text editor, and edit the MFES_SERVER line. By default this is set to ESDEMO. Change it to specify the name of
the enterprise server you want to use, as follows:
MFES_SERVER=myserver
- Deploy the
.car file using the
mfdepinst command. For example, to deploy the services in
myService.car, enter the following at a command prompt:
mfdepinst myService.car
See the
mfdepinst command reference topic for complete information.
